It was clear beautiful evening at the Gallivan Center in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah on June 23, 2011. The band Parachute along with Hugo, Damato and Allred were scheduled to perform what was sure to be an unforgettable night. The crowd of over 3,000 anxiously anticipated the musicians’ arrival. The fact that the concert was free made the night that much more desirable. But what was truly unique about that evening was the cause that brought all these fans, bands, and vendors together, the harmful effects of pornography.

Seeing our differences is not what separates us, or makes us unequal. Recognizing these points of indifference is what makes us great. Being in a relationship with someone who shares similar interests and hobbies can be rewarding but imagine how incredibly boring life would be if your significant other responded to everything you said with, “I agree” or “same here”. Together, a man and a woman are more than the sum of two people; they are the exponential growth of two people joining forces. So to attempt to make ourselves equal is an injustice to our full potential.

We’re not going to beat around the bush on this one; being interviewed and broadcasted on the radio is pretty sweet. Local, Independent, Alternative. These are the words that x96 uses to describe their station.
