We love our Fighters and as luck would have it, turns out our Fighters love us in return. So much that many of you have contacted us asking, “I want to be more involved, what can I do to help out more?” As awesome as it would be for everyone to show up at headquarters every morning at 9am to get cracking for the cause we realize you are all individuals with very individual busy schedules. Instead of inviting you to the office everyday to volunteer your time and energy, we invite you to take the fight home with you, everyday to your community or

school. However, I take my morning coffee with cream and sugar if you just can’t restrain yourself from coming to see us.
We are stoked to offer all of you a chance to start a Chapter in your area. By initiating a Chapter you will be given the opportunity to take our cause and passion and deliver it to those that are near and dear to you. We like to envision Fight the New Drug as a big beautiful tree, one where we (headquarters) are the roots and trunk of the tree and you (Your Chapter) are the many branches extending out our message.
Being a part of a Chapter will allow you to be involved in the movement in a more personal way. The three main goals of each Chapter are to raise awareness of the harmful effects of pornography, gaining new fighters and fundraising. We will be offering a Chapter Orientation for our current Chapter Presidents as well as anyone else interested in starting a Chapter in their area. The purpose of this orientation is to prepare you with the essential knowledge and tools that are needed to successfully run a Chapter.
Join us at our headquarters in Salt Lake City for either of our two orientation sessions we will be holding on Wednesday August 3, 2011 @ 7pm or Wednesday August 10, 2011 @ 7pm. If you aren’t within traveling distance of our office, don’t worry we still want you there, join us via the internet in a live stream of our orientation. Let us know you would like to attend by accepting the event invitation posted on our Fight the New Drug Facebook page. While you’re here take a look at our already up and running chapter at Utah State University, they made their school paper. Thanks for making us proud Aggie Fighters!
Are you asking yourself, “Do I have what it takes to be a Chapter President?” Keep reading you might be the perfect person for the job.
Being a chapter president is a one year commitment. During that year you will have several responsibilities and experiences that will be different and unique to each chapter. Each chapter president does have one universal characteristic, and that is the desire to be part of the Fight the New Drug educational movement (we can practically see you nodding your head in agreement). A president differs from a fighter or chapter member by once being initiated as a chapter president you officially represent Fight the New Drug and are a liaison between FTND and your school or community. You will be a talking head for the organization and other members will look to you for knowledge, guidance and help with getting involved. This position will require charisma, strong leadership skills and dedication to the cause.
Since you’re already a Fighter we know you like to get involved and you’ve probably got some pretty creative ideas stuffed up your sleeve about how to get others involved. As Chapter President you will be given the opportunity to hold events to increase school and local community awareness and generate money by holding fund raisers. As always please feel free to contact us if you have questions about our upcoming Chapter Orientation event.
