I became a fighter after battling with a pornography addiction for 5 years and hitting an all-time low in my life.
I see myself more as a fire fighter. To me pornography is a deadly fire; and it may start out as a single flame but it can rapidly grow and spread to a full-fledge out of control forest fire. And before you know it, everything surrounding you, every aspect of your life, is engulfed in flames. Everything is being consumed. Everything is being destroyed.

Once you have been robbed of everything, you hit an all time low. You don’t want to go back to pornography but you don’t know how to move forward. What does a life look like without this addiction? I’m a fire-fighter because sometimes all you need is someone to point you in the right direction.
So whether people are lightly singed or brutally burned, I am going to fight. I cannot be a bystander and merely watch them get burned.
That teary eyed look of relief that people get when they’re saved from a near death experience? I’ve seen it. This is a life or death issue. Pornography kills. Do not be discouraged because we are outnumbered. Rather, put on your fire-fighting gear and let’s get to work.
And sometimes it’s so overwhelming that you need a fire-fighter to pull you out. Watching a fire burn while being burned amongst it is utter terror and chaos. Watching a fire burn from a safe distance outside is true revelation and insight. Fore it is only when you are standing back, that you truly able to assess the damage that has been done and the areas of your life that pornography has ruthlessly destroyed.
